Zila Parishad Chairperson Advocate Suman Khichar welcomed the Haryana government's decision to expand the working powers of Panchayati Raj institutions — increasing the scope of Zila Parishad functions from 13 to 50 types. She stated this will accelerate rural development, strengthen local governance, and bring administration closer to the people.
